Fujairah Port
Port of Fujairah, in the emirate of Fujairah and strategically located on the Gulf of Oman, is the only multi-purpose deep sea port on the Eastern seaboard of the United Arab Emirates. It is located just 130 km South from the Strait of Hormuz.
Dextra has been involved in the expansion of the port between 2007 in 2008.
Oil Terminal 2
For the new Oil Terminal 2 (OT2), Dextra engineered and supplied the Marine Tie Bars systems used the the anchoring of the Main Quay walls.
More than 1,400 tons of bars have been provided for this large project.
South Breakwater Berths
In 2008, Dextra also engineered and supplied the Marine Tie Bars systems anchoring Tugs Jetty, Craft Docks & Main Quay Wall. Short Marine Tie Bars assemblies were installed between King Pile Walls. High performance Grade 700, which allow a high level of performance for relatively smaller diameters, was preferred to ease transportation and installation at site.
