Urban Deca Homes Ortigas is one of the largest residential projects currently developed in the Philippines, involving the construction of 22 residential buildings with 19,000 one- and two-bedroom units on a 13-hectare property in Metro Manila, Philippines.

The developer is expecting to appeal to the young working families of the surrounding areas of Ortigas, Eastwood and Vertis North, offering affordable accommodations starting from as little as 30,000 USD per unit.

Dextra has supplied almost 150,000 Groutec couplers for 20 of the residential buildings: model S25 and S28 are used to connect rebars in load-bearing shear walls. This typology of mechanical splices is designed to simplify installation of precast concrete elements such as panels or columns.

At the site, connections are made in few seconds by injecting non-shrink grout into the Groutec’s cavity.

The project is expected to be completed by 2022.
