Chaglla Dam is a hydroelectric dam set up on the Huallaga River, in the Huánuco region of Peru. The dam is 203m heigh with an installed maximum capacity of 456 MW.

For this major dam project, Dextra continuously delivered to Brazilian contractors Odebrecht its Rolltec rebar coupler solution between 2012 and 2015.

Rolltec is the most popular rebar slicing solution in Latin America, providing a competitive alternative to lap splices.

The rebar preparation is supported by a unique light equipment, operated by a single operator. The Rolltec machine is relatively easy to transport and convenient to install even on most remote locations such as dam construction sites.

More than just couplers and equipment, Dextra also took in charge the machine commissioning and operator training, making sure the contractor team make the most out of their rebar coupler solution.
